The ambassadors of France, the Netherlands and the Philippines have presented their Letters of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at separate ceremonies held at the President’s Office.

The ambassadors were welcomed through the traditional Haiykolhu procession accompanied by the MNDF Drum and Trumpet Band before formally presenting their credentials to the President.

Following the ceremonies, President Muizzu held discussions with the ambassadors on areas of mutual interest. Talks with French Ambassador Rémi Lambert focused on tourism, maritime cooperation, marine protection, climate change, and regional security.

During discussions with Dutch Ambassador Wiebe Jakob de Boer, both sides explored infrastructure development, climate adaptation, human rights cooperation and investment opportunities.

Meanwhile, Philippine Ambassador Nina P. Cainglet expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to Filipinos living in the Maldives, while both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to further enhancing cooperation and maintaining strong relations between the Maldives and the three countries.
