Kristin Cabot says a viral Coldplay “kiss cam” moment cost her job and left her children fearing for their safety.
Cabot, 53, was filmed embracing her boss, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, at a July concert. The clip went viral on TikTok. Both later resigned, and Cabot filed for divorce. She told The New York Times it was a bad decision made in the moment.
She said alcohol and stress played a role and that they had never kissed before. Cabot said the backlash was severe. She received death threats and was shunned by friends. Her children became afraid she would be killed.
“I made a mistake,” she said. “But my kids didn’t deserve the fear.”
