The long-awaited biopic Michael, based on the life of pop icon Michael Jackson, is set for a global theatrical release on 24 April 2026, following its premiere earlier this month in Berlin.
The film stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the lead role. The cast also includes Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Nia Long, and Kat Graham, among others.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the movie follows Michael Jackson’s journey from his early years with the Jackson 5 to his rise as one of the most influential and globally recognised entertainers in music history.
The film is expected to cover key moments in his career, including his breakthrough solo success, the creation of iconic albums, and his impact on global pop culture.
Producers describe the project as a cinematic look at both the musical legacy and personal journey of the “King of Pop.”
Michael will release in cinemas worldwide later this month.
