The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed on as an official partner of Public Service Media (PSM) for the broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to viewers across the Maldives.
The agreement was signed at a special ceremony held at the PSM TV Building. MTCC’s Chief Operating Officer, Sinan Ali, signed on behalf of the company, while PSM Managing Director Ahmed Shakeeb signed on behalf of PSM. MTCC Deputy COO Hussain Nafaf Nasir also attended the ceremony.
MTCC joins a growing list of partners supporting PSM’s World Cup coverage, including Villa College, Island Perfumes, EZEP and Proxy. Maldives Post Limited is the main sponsor of the coverage.
Known as the “People’s Company”, MTCC said its partnership aims to help bring the world’s biggest sporting event to Maldivian households and inspire future generations through football.
PSM officially launched its FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage on May 18. Matches will be broadcast live on TVM and Yes TV.
The tournament kicks off on Thursday, with hosts Mexico facing South Africa in the opening match.
