The Huraa Council has announced the leasing of 25 plots of land for guesthouse development in K. Huraa.
Of these, 17 plots from newly reclaimed land and eight plots within Huraa will be leased for 50 years. The eight plots are open only to residents of K. Huraa.
Bid forms are priced at MVR 25,000 for the reclaimed plots and MVR 10,000 for the residential plots. Applications will be accepted by hand or by post until 12:30pm on February 11 and 12, 2026, depending on the plot category.
Information sessions will be held at Huravee Maalam, Huraa Council, on February 12 at 10:00am and February 15 at 12:15pm. Attendance is mandatory to submit bids.
Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes by February 24 and 26, with one bid per plot allowed. Companies must submit a power of attorney if bidding through a representative.
