Fifty-two Maldivian farmers has left for Sri Lanka for a 10-day advanced horticulture exposure programme under the Maldives Agribusiness Programme (MAP).
The training runs from February 3 to 13 and focuses on modern greenhouse farming. Participants will receive hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art greenhouse systems and advanced cultivation techniques.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is conducting the programme in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The group includes farmers who completed MAP’s Lead Farmer Training, as well as those who received MAP grants to establish their own greenhouses.
