Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has launched the Maldives National Logistics service today, aiming to streamline cargo movement and reduce costs nationwide.
The service was inaugurated by Finance Minister Moosa Zameer at the Maldives Marine Expo 2026 in Hulhumalé.
The MPL-designed system integrates imports, exports, domestic transport, warehousing, and distribution into a single national network. It will run scheduled deliveries of essential goods and expand cold-chain logistics across the country.
A new Domestic Transshipment service will allow containers arriving in Malé to be directly transferred to regional ports using MPL’s fleet, cutting transit costs, speeding up deliveries, and strengthening regional ports.
