First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has called for stronger collective action to protect future generations from the harms of tobacco and nicotine use.
In a message shared on International No Tobacco Day, observed annually on May 31, she said every young person has the right to live a healthy life free from tobacco-related risks.
She praised government efforts to tighten tobacco control measures, highlighting ongoing awareness campaigns in schools and communities as key steps in prevention.
The First Lady also urged continued cooperation between families, institutions, and the wider public to build a healthier, tobacco-free generation.
