President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said trials linked to the ‘Vaanuvaa’ bandhu are expected to conclude by the end of March.
The President made the remarks while meeting residents of Hulhumalé Phase I last night. He said Attorney General Ahmed Usham informed him that cases pending for more than a year will be resolved by March.
He added that the Attorney General’s Office will then move to expedite the remaining cases. The President said detention-related issues have been clarified in previous meetings and assured that the Attorney General’s Office will continue to carry out its duties effectively.
