The Maldives has secured their second win at the CAVA Women’s Cup 2025 with a straight-sets victory over Afghanistan on Saturday.
The team won 25–20, 25–13, 25–12, continuing strong form after an opening win against Bangladesh. Setter Juzan Zareer impressed, while younger players delivered confident performances.
The Maldives now sit level on points with Kyrgyzstan. The two sides will meet on Monday night to decide the top spot in the league round.
