A newly constructed Police Headquarters has been officially opened in B. Maalhos.
The facility was inaugurated by Home Minister Ali Ihsaan and Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed as part of efforts to expand police services through dedicated facilities across the Maldives.
The project was awarded to MTCC in March 2025, with construction beginning later that year. The building includes administrative offices and accommodation facilities for police personnel.
During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to MTCC and the Maalhos Island Council for their contributions to the project. A tree-planting activity was also held following the opening.
Police services were first established in Maalhos in January 2024, with the government continuing efforts to strengthen law enforcement infrastructure across inhabited islands.
