First Lady Sajidha Mohamed says strengthening Mathematics education is an investment in the Maldives’ future, highlighting its role in driving innovation, education, and national development.
She made the remarks at the launch of “Mathematical Thinking in the Maldives: Ethnomathematics, Cultural Heritage, and Curriculum Integration” at the Maldives National University.
The book, authored by MNU Vice Chancellor Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, explores how traditional Maldivian knowledge and cultural practices can be integrated into Mathematics education to make learning more engaging while preserving the country’s cultural heritage.
