Maldives has collected MVR 2.60 billion in revenue in April 2025, recording a 22.7 percent increase from last year.

The figure includes USD 125.09 million in revenue collected in US dollars. Revenue also came 1.6 percent above forecast for the month.

Authorities linked the increase mainly to higher TGST and Green Tax collections, supported by stronger tourist arrivals and recovery of overdue Tourism Land Rent.

GST was the largest contributor, accounting for 63.4 percent of total revenue. Green Tax contributed 8.7 percent, followed by Income Tax, Airport Development Fee and Departure Tax.
