The government has eased documentation requirements for family housing applications.
The Housing Ministry has said notarised affidavits will not be required if residency in Malé can be proven through other valid documents. The move aims to simplify the application process.
Authorities have also confirmed that applicants awaiting flats under previous schemes must submit documents to verify their eligibility.
Under the Housing for All programme, 5,500 flats will be allocated across multiple categories, including residents of Malé and other groups such as youth, single parents and public sector workers.
Applications remain open until April 17 as part of efforts to address housing challenges.
