The Elections Commission has opened a 14-day period to appeal election complaints at the High Court.
EC President Mohamed Zahid has said 170 complaints were received regarding the local council and WDC elections held on April 4. Authorities are preparing responses within the legal framework.
He has said parties dissatisfied with the commission’s decisions can file cases at the High Court within the given period.
Preparations are also underway for the second round of elections scheduled for April 18.
The commission has said efforts are ongoing to resolve all complaints promptly.
