Maldives Ports Limited has signed an agreement to develop a modern yacht marina in HA.Uligan.
The project was awarded to Sasse E Construction Pvt Ltd, with the agreement signed at MPL headquarters by Deputy CEO Ali Hashim and company representatives.
Under the first phase, the marina will accommodate up to 18 yachts at a time and provide basic services for visiting vessels.
MPL said it is also seeking an operator to manage the marina once completed.
The company noted that Uligan is a frequent entry point for international yachts, and the project aims to expand services and boost the island’s role as a regional yachting hub.
