Road Development Corporation has been contracted to develop a park on the former Ghaazee Building site.
Housing Minister Abdulla Muththalib said the project has begun, sharing the park concept in a post on X.The site is currently used as a parking zone, after the Ghaazee Building was demolished in 2023.
The building previously housed offices of the Maldives Correctional Service and the Auditor General’s Office (Maldives).
The nearby Huravee Building was also demolished last year, with a parking area developed on that site as well.
