Islamic Ministry Issues Travel Advisory for Umrah Pilgrims

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has advised Maldivian Umrah pilgrims to exercise caution when traveling back to the Maldives.

In case of emergency, pilgrims are urged to contact the Maldivian Embassy in Saudi Arabia at +966 506 894 477 or the Maldivian Consulate in Jeddah at +966 530 838 329.

The ministry said efforts are underway to establish a dedicated hotline for Umrah pilgrims to provide updated information. The number will be announced once operational.

Pilgrims have also been advised to stay informed about their travel arrangements and follow instructions issued by the Saudi government. The ministry said it is closely monitoring the situation of Maldivian pilgrims in Mecca.
