The Malé North Harbour area has reopened to vehicles and vessels following works linked to the Boduthakurufaanu Magu development project.
Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) said the harbour is now open for cargo and passenger vessels daily from 11:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Vessels must comply with North Harbour regulations to dock in the area.
The harbour had been vacated to facilitate the road widening project, which introduced dedicated pedestrian lanes and a new drainage system.
The Boduthakurufaanu Magu expansion, valued at MVR 144.50 million, is scheduled for completion within 455 days.
