Voter re-registration has opened for the Local Council Elections and Women’s Development Committee Elections 2026, with applications accepted until 3:00pm on Monday, 16 February.
The Elections Commission of Maldives said voters who plan to cast ballots outside their registered island must re-register. This includes voters currently registered at resorts, industrial islands, prisons, or overseas, who must select a polling station linked to their permanent address.
Re-registration applications can be submitted online via form.elections.gov.mv or my.elections.gov.mv. Voters can check their current registration by sending their NID to 1414.
