Police has recorded 1,069 cases nationwide in January, with traffic accidents and theft making up more than half of all reports.
Traffic accidents topped the list with 299 cases, accounting for 28% of the total. Theft followed closely with 298 cases, or 27.9%.
Police also recorded 164 drug-related cases, making up 15.3%. Reports of lost items reached 111, while assault cases stood at 56.
Authorities logged:
- 54 vandalism cases
- 37 domestic violence cases
- embezzlement (18)
- robbery (13)
- sexual offences (11)
- counterfeit and forgery (8).
Police said the figures highlight ongoing concerns over road safety and property related crime.
