The Local Government Ministry has announced that a case of fish cans will be distributed to every household during Ramadan.
The ministry said distribution will take place daily from 8:30pm to 11:00pm, except on Fridays. Token registration is now open via roadhahadhiya.mv, and distribution will be completed by February 11, 2026.
A total of 118,673 households will receive fish cans this year, including 56,918 households in the atolls and 61,755 in the Greater Malé region. Distribution in the Greater Malé Area will be carried out at 15 locations, including eight sites in Malé’, six in Hulhumalé’, and the WAMCO site in Vilimalé’.
The ministry said the initiative continues the government’s long standing Ramadan programme to support households across the country.
