The Elections Commission has received 315 complaints over the voter registry for the upcoming local council and women’s committee elections.
Most of the complaints, submitted by 6pm yesterday, seek the removal of deceased persons from the register.
The commission urged voters to check their details and file corrections by 3pm on August 18. Requests to add, delete, or amend information must include official documents as proof.
Political parties can submit complaints through the Simedha portal. Voters can also check their status on my.elections.gov.mv or by sending “VR ID-number” to 1414.
The Elections Commission’s call centre (1414) operates daily from 8am to 10pm, except Fridays, when it runs from 3pm to 8pm.
