American rapper Fetty Wap has been released from prison, serving less than his original six year sentence for federal drug trafficking charges.
Authorities arrested Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, in 2021. He later pleaded guilty to charges linked to the distribution of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine in Long Island and New Jersey.
A federal court sentenced him to six years in prison in 2023. However, he was released before completing the full term.
Following his release, Fetty Wap is expected to focus on his music and personal life.
