KPop Demon Hunters has won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, while its hit song Golden took Best Original Song.
The Netflix film follows girl band Huntr/x as they use music to fight evil. Since June, it became Netflix’s most-watched film, with Golden topping the Billboard Hot 100.
Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans called it a tribute to strong female characters. Singer Ejae dedicated her win to anyone who faced rejection.
Voice actress Arden Cho said the film brings hope to underrepresented communities. The Golden Globes success boosts its Oscar chances.
