The Elections Commission (EC) has announced that there will place 621 ballot boxes for the upcoming local council and women’s development committee elections.
EC released details including ballot box numbers, codes, names, and voting locations.
A total of 321 boxes will be placed in Male’, Hulhumalé, and Villimale’ for residents of Male’ City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Fuvahmulah City, Thinadhoo City, and Addu City.
Additionally, 3 boxes will be placed at industrial installations, 5 in prisons, 50 in resorts, and 2 in foreign countries.
A total of 225 council members and women’s development committee members will be elected in this cycle.
