MACL CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed has assured that all three ongoing land reclamation projects will be completed on schedule.
CEO and Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed said the projects will be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He made the remarks at a press conference held at the President’s Office and during the ceremony to inaugurate the Dhidhdhoo Airport development and land reclamation project.
Speaking in Dhidhdhoo, Shareef said the start of the project ends a long wait for the island’s residents. He thanked President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for placing trust in MACL and assigning the project to the company.
Shareef noted that the President has instructed MACL to complete the work as quickly as possible. He said the deployment of the Liv Ericsson dredger, one of the largest in the world, will speed up reclamation work.
He added that the land reclamation and airport development will help boost Dhidhdhoo’s economy.
