MTCC Begins Tree Relocation for Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Upgrade

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), in partnership with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), has started relocating trees from Boduthakurufaanu Magu Segment 2 to Hulhumalé Channel Park.

Several trees have already been successfully replanted as part of MTCC’s commitment to environmentally responsible development.

The MVR 144 million project will widen an 830-meter stretch of the road to four lanes, add a pedestrian lane, and install a new drainage system.

The first segment, from the Police Headquarters to the Fish Market, is already open to the public. Segment 2 covers 250 meters, from the Local Market to North Harbour.
