The National Youth Conference 2025 has opened today, bringing young people from across the Maldives together to shape future youth policy.
The two-day conference is being held on December 22 and 23 at the Youth Hub. Youth Minister Ibrahim Waheed attended the opening, alongside senior ministry officials and members of the Youth Advisory Board. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony.
A total of 93 youths from diverse fields are taking part. The Youth Ministry said discussions will focus on key challenges facing young people and practical solutions, with outcomes contributing to a national youth policy.
Speaking at the opening, the Youth Minister said the conference brings together youth from all atolls at the national level under the President’s Youth Advisory Board.
