Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has launched its 12th apprenticeship programme today, opening new training opportunities for 20 young participants.

MPL held the inauguration ceremony this morning. Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Hussain Jawaz officiated the event. He handed over the offer letters to all participants.

MPL COO Mohamed Rishwan attended the ceremony. He said the company aims to train youth and give them hands on experience across various harbour sectors.

Deputy Minister Jawaz praised MPL as an “exemplary company” in youth training. He said the government prioritizes creating jobs and skill-building opportunities for young people.

The programme will train participants in key port operations, supporting the industry’s future workforce.
