Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and the Maldives National University (MNU) have signed an MoU to jointly launch the country’s first accredited degree in Modern Port Management.
MPL’s Deputy CEO Mohamed Mueen and MNU Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Waheed signed the agreement at a ceremony held today.
Under the MoU, MPL and MNU will co-run the Modern Port Management degree programme. The Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) has fully accredited the course, making it the first of its kind in the Maldives.
Officials said the programme aims to build specialised port-sector professionals and strengthen the nation’s maritime workforce.
