The Prosecutor General’s Office has decided not to offer a plea agreement to Raudh Ahmed Zilal in the case linked to the death of Hawwa Yumn Rasheed.
The PG Office announced the decision on Wednesday. Raudh was with Yumn when she was found fallen on the roof of H. Mitaz on April 18.
Prosecutors charged him for failing to help her and for not reporting the incident. He confessed to the charge during the hearing.
With the confession, the court will now move the case to a fast-track trial. The next hearing is set for the 26th of this month.
The PG Office said a request was made for a plea agreement. However, it decided not to proceed with one.
Raudh was released from custody on May 27 after the PG Office reviewed the case documents.
