President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the project to relocate the Sh. Noomaraa powerhouse will be completed before the upcoming Ramadan.
President Muizzu made the announcement during his visit to Sh. Noomaraa, the first stop of his tour across Shaviyani Atoll. He met with residents and pledged to accelerate development on the island.
He said the government will resume halted projects and fast-track new ones to improve living standards. Fenaka Corporation has assured that the powerhouse relocation will be finished before Ramadan.
“I’m sharing this because Fenaka’s MD has given the assurance. I will make sure the government provides any needed support,” the President said.
He also promised to discuss ways to reduce RTL ferry travel time to Noomaraa, addressing concerns raised by residents.
The visit marks part of the President’s ongoing atoll tour to assess local development needs and ensure project completion.
