A new Fitness and Recreation Center is now under construction in Sh.Bilehfahi, following a ceremony held today to mark the start of practical work.
The ceremony was held this morning in Bilehfahi, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in attendance. Youth Minister Abdulla Rafiu officiated the inauguration.
Cabinet ministers, MPs, MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Retired) Ahmed Saudhee, council members, and officials from various government bodies also joined the event.
The Fitness and Recreation Center will cover 4,005 square feet. MTCC will carry out the construction with a budget of MVR 4.56 million. The project must be completed within 180 days.
Bilehfahi, home to around 770 residents, will gain a modern space for fitness and social activities once the project is complete.
