First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has praised women in uniform as protectors of peace and role models for society.
She made the remarks at the Maldives Women in Policing Summit 2025, held at Crossroads Maldives under the theme “Empowered Women: Safer Communities.”
The First Lady highlighted the contributions of women in police, defence, customs, and immigration. She said they uphold the law and inspire the next generation.
She stressed the role of women in tackling cybercrime, trafficking, climate disasters, and extremism. She urged girls to see security services as fields where they can thrive.
She added that victims, especially women and children, feel safer reporting to female officers. She called for workplaces that treat women as equals, not exceptions.
