President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that salaries for Civil Service Commission, Judiciary, and Council staff will increase starting November 1.

In a post on X, Muizzu said the move delivers on his pledge in this year’s Presidential Address.

He added that staff of institutions left out of this year’s adjustments will see pay hikes before the end of 2025, while remaining institutions are scheduled for 2026.

The 2025 budget earmarked MVR 500 million to harmonize CSC and Judiciary salaries and MVR 12 billion for overall civil service pay.
