MTCC has been contracted to expand F. Feeali harbor and build a new jetty.
The deal was signed during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.
Home to 1,350 residents, Feeali has long struggled with limited harbor space.
MTCC said the MVR 60.17 million project will ease travel and cargo handling. It includes dredging, a 301-meter quay wall, a 374-meter breakwater, and a 20-meter jetty, to be completed within 550 days.
MTCC will also build a futsal ground on the island.
