Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched self-service ATM services in V. Rakeedhoo, completing ATM coverage across all inhabited islands of the atoll.
As part of his tour of Vaavu Atoll, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated ATM services in Felidhoo, Thinadhoo, and Fulidhoo yesterday. Today, new ATMs were also launched in Keyodhoo and Rakeedhoo.
The opening ceremony was attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, several ministers, and senior BML officials, including Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb and CEO Mohamed Shareef.
Shareef said the project boosts financial access nationwide. “Each ATM increases community participation and provides easy access to banking,” he noted.
As part of the “BML ATM for the Whole Maldives” project, new ATMs will be opened today in F. Feeali and B. Bilehfahi.
BML now operates 42 branches, 166 self-service centers, and 225 ATMs across 20 atolls.
