Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has started construction of the new police station in V. Felidhoo.
The work began during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island as part of his four-atoll tour.
Felidhoo, home to 696 people and known for tourism, will get a compound wall, an office block, and a detention block under the project. MTCC says the facility will strengthen peace and security on the island.
The project costs MVR 13.43 million and is set to finish in 360 days.
