President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has promised to fix the harbor issue in Vaavu Thinadhoo.
He made the pledge at a meeting with residents and the island council on Thursday night. The President said the harbor is Thinadhoo’s biggest challenge and assured it will be resolved.
Muizzu also announced that dollar ATM services will be introduced before March 2026. Earlier, he opened a new Bank of Maldives ATM on the island.
Thinadhoo is part of his tour of 31 islands in Vaavu, Faafu, Meemu and Thaa atolls.
