A one day workshop in Malé, held by the government and Alibaba, trained around 600 Maldivian entrepreneurs to sell products internationally.
The event, organised with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Business Center Corporation (BCC), focused on creating seller accounts, using AI tools to boost product visibility, and online promotion strategies.
Officials said the initiative aims to connect Maldivian producers to global supply chains. Participants welcomed the training, citing new opportunities to reach international markets and overcome distribution barriers.
