Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has launched “This is My Maldives”, a global photography competition inviting creators to showcase the Maldives through their own perspective.
The competition was announced during the launch of Creatoll, a digital marketplace for Maldivian creative content, launched by the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage and VMC.
Photographers of all skill levels can submit original photos capturing the Maldives through themes including places, people, culture, nature and experiences. The winning entry will receive a cash prize of MVR 50,000.
Creatoll aims to support Maldivian creators by providing a platform to showcase, license and monetise photography, videos and other creative works while promoting authentic Maldivian stories worldwide.
VMC says the platform will help strengthen destination storytelling and create new opportunities for the country’s creative community.
