State Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Corporation (State Pharma) has officially taken over all pharmacies previously operated by the State Trading Organization (STO), completing the nationwide transition.
State Pharma said the move is aimed at improving access to medicines and enhancing the quality of pharmacy services across the Maldives.
Under its “Every Island, Every Citizen” initiative, the company plans to ensure sustainable access to medicines on every inhabited island. As part of the rollout, a 24-hour hotline (1505) and online services through the State Pharma portal will be available to assist customers.
The company also apologised for any inconvenience caused during the transition and assured the public that uninterrupted support will be provided throughout the process.
