China Pledges Health Sector Support

Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin gave the assurance during a meeting with Health, Family and Social Services Minister Geela Ali at the Health Ministry.

Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in health and social services, including support for training Maldivian workers in the sector.

The ambassador highlighted the China-Maldives Friendship Hospital project in Vilimalé as a symbol of close relations between the two countries.

Minister Geela thanked China for its continued assistance and described the country as an important development partner of the Maldives.
