Hulhumalé Hospital has extended the operating hours of its flu clinic amid increasing demand from pilgrims returning from Hajj.
The hospital said the clinic will now operate from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, except on Fridays, to accommodate the growing number of patients seeking treatment for flu-like symptoms.
According to the hospital, patient numbers have risen in recent days and are expected to increase further as more returning pilgrims seek medical attention. The clinic is located on the left side of the hospital’s main counter.
Hulhumalé Hospital has advised returning pilgrims to wear masks and follow precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of illness.
All Maldivian pilgrims have now returned from Hajj, with special arrangements also in place at IGMH to assist those who develop symptoms after their return. Health authorities have urged the public to follow guidance issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
