343 Graduate from Nationa Service Programme

A total of 343 participants completed the programme during a special ceremony held in Lh. Maafilaafushi. According to the President, the batch included participants from 112 islands across the Maldives, with 280 men and 63 women graduating from the programme.

In a post on X, the President noted that 113 participants were below the age of 18, while the remaining 230 were above 18 years old.

Defence Minister Hassan Rasheed, who attended the ceremony, said interest in the programme has continued to grow, with more than 1,700 youth applying this year compared to over 1,200 applications last year.

The programme includes training in leadership, patriotism, religious education, first aid, firefighting and self-defence, aimed at strengthening physical, mental and moral development among youth.
