President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has placed focus on enhancing parliamentary cooperation during talks in Colombo.
The discussions took place during a meeting between President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Sri Lanka’s Parliament Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne as part of the ongoing State Visit.
Both sides highlighted the long-standing relations between the two countries and the close people-to-people connections that have developed over the years. They stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between parliamentary institutions.
The meeting also focused on enhancing collaboration through parliamentary friendship groups, with an emphasis on capacity-building and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Officials said both countries will explore further exchanges between lawmakers to deepen institutional partnerships.
