A fire has destroyed at least 30 homes in Malaysia’s Sabah state.
The blaze broke out early Wednesday in Sandakan, sweeping through a settlement of closely packed wooden houses. Authorities said no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Around 186 residents were affected, with investigations underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Firefighters were deployed quickly and managed to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby homes.
The incident comes less than two weeks after a major fire in the same district destroyed around 1,000 homes and displaced thousands of residents.
