The government has announced plans to further develop the new skate park in Usfasgandu over multiple phases.
Sports Minister Abdulla Rafiu has said the facility will be closely monitored to ensure long-term upkeep. While Skate Maldives will manage the park, maintenance and upgrades will be handled by the ministry.
Authorities plan to introduce additional features based on the needs of skaters. The park already includes dedicated areas for skateboarding and inline skating.
The project was developed under RCC’s CSR initiative, with construction beginning in October last year.
