Housing Minister Abdulla Muththalib has inaugurated Phase 3 of the road development project in Thinadhoo City.
The project, awarded to Road Development Corporation (RDC), will see asphalt laid on 50 roads covering 19.3 kilometres.
In addition to roadworks, the project includes the installation of a stormwater drainage system to improve flood management in the city.
The works are expected to be completed within 1,440 days and form part of ongoing efforts to upgrade urban infrastructure in Thinadhoo.
